Happy New Year!

Now the festive season has come and gone, it leads our minds to focus on some of the mundane things we put off prior to Christmas. Grrrreeat, we hear you all say. We are the same here at The Luxury Arctic Travel Company. There are things we always out off in our personal lives, we’re all human after all. However, there are some things you can’t put off. Have you always dreamed about escaping somewhere totally out of this world, somewhere where you can have an excuse to put off such mundane things in day-to-day life? We thought we would tease, or dangle a so-called carrot on a string in front of everyone and show what adventures and experiences you can enjoy over next Christmas if you book a holiday to the arctic circle…

Luxury travel is no longer defined by the quality of the hotel you are staying in. Creature comforts are of course, important and we feel strongly that the hotel you stay in should provide a level of comfort and service that you don’t have at home. BUT our luxury Arctic and Nordic trips are also all about the luxury experiences which will stay with you for the rest of your life as some of the most magical and awe inspiring you’ve had. As well as knowing each individual property like the back hand we also have experienced ever adventure under the ‘sun’.

Snowmobiling is a big feature of any Arctic or Nordic holiday and is totally unique to the Arctic Circle. Many of our featured properties now offer electric snowmobiles to ensure as little impact to the environment. These amazingly fun and exhilarating machines are easy to drive without any prior experience and will see you setting off into the glacier lined, snow-capped forests of the Arctic Circle. These excursions are guided by experts on the local area, and you will often stop to explore the local flora and fauna on foot.

The Famous Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis. We like to set you up in glass igloos, or panoramic treehouses so you have a full view of the night sky which is often spectacular regardless of whether you’re lucky enough to see them. Some of our properties are lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights for over 250 nights a year. There is something wonderfully spiritual and utterly other worldly about this phenomenon and we have no doubt that this is an experience that will be hard to forget.

We haven’t even started on some of the other activities you can enjoy, but we thought we would dangle the carrot out a bit further and keep you waiting until later this week where we will let you know what you can do when husky sledding, Reindeer herding, skiing of course, hiking, biking, canoeing and tonnes of other experiences you can plan ahead for next year. If this initial carrot has tempted you to plan something unforgettable for next year, then do get in contact, we would love to hear from you and start the planning process.
